SUMMARY
During her visit to Washington, DC, on May 2, 2023, HE Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), hosted a meeting to formally launch the Group of French-speaking Ambassadors in Washington, DC. This group aims to promote the French language and Francophone values in the United States and to organize new cultural activities in DC.
To celebrate the diversity of la Francophonie, the OIF hosted a lively evening event entitled, “En français s’il vous plaît,” with musical performances by French jazz singer Chloé Perrier and the Senegalese band Sahel and a wide range of French-speaking DC professionals in attendance.
